Black Magic Woman, Samba Pati, Jingo Loba, Europe, Oye Como Va, Moonflower, Soul Sacrifice, Eh bien, elle n'est pas là, Smooth and Maria Maria...
Who doesn't know them? These and countless other hits by Carlos Santana and his supergroup are performed virtuosically, in an evening filled with string fireworks. The founder of The Five Great Guitars, Jan Kuiper, together with his guitarist friends Stochelo Rosenberg, Paulus Schäfer, Digmon Roovers and Marcel de Groot, play acoustic and bluesy arrangements of the legendary Latin Guitar Hero's finest songs!
Of course, the members of Five Great Guitars have all started playing the songs and solos of their own GUITAR HEROES. In this new program, songs by J.J., among others, are interpreted in an original way. Cale, Larry Carlton, Eric Clapton, Stevie Wonder, Fleetwood Mac, Santana, Django Reinhardt, The Allman Brothers Band and other GUITAR HEROES with their own unique arrangements. A wonderful mix of styles (Blues, Rock, Funk, Gypsy, Africa, Brazil, Pop & Jazz) is sure to emerge.
A unique and extremely swinging new anniversary program from the absolute pinnacle of Dutch guitarists (and beyond...)

AFRICAN BLUES
The music is a combination of Sinti jazz, blues, modern jazz, pop, funk and African highlife, dominated by fast guitar playing and swinging rhythms. Here, too, lies the kinship with gypsy swing, perfectly attuned to African rhythms. A crossover that connects and harmonizes different worlds and cultures.
Varied, hard-hitting African rhythms with swirling solos from virtuoso guitarists and African voices. It's precisely the diversity, multiple origins and cultures that make up the melting pot of African gypsies.
